New technology. Child actor. Animal talent. This was what my team and I took on with an immersive video project for canine pharmaceutical brand NexGard.
The client ask was deceptively simple: Use 360 video to endear pet owners to the brand. And after concepts ranging from silly to serious were pitched, we decided that old-fashioned storytelling combined with new-school tech was the ideal way to connect NexGard to the experience of dog ownership.
As a dog rescuer and frequent fosterer, I was thrilled to concept and write for this project. The challenge of conceiving a story that can literally be viewed from all angles, that switches between protagonist perspectives, and that showcases the beautiful bond created between a kid and their first dog... it's the kind of thing writers dream of taking on.
